911 Nightmare – Lifetime Movie Network – 2 hours
Christine, a 911 dispatcher, has been disabled for six months while recuperating from a gun shot wound she received while on duty as a police officer. During the shooting, she lost her father and her sense of purpose. Then Christine receives a 911 call that turns her world upside down. She gets a call from a little boy that she believes is a prank, so she hangs up. The next day she learns that the little boy’s friend was murdered. Christine is racked with guilt, while on trial by her job, the news, and social media. After she is suspended from her job as a dispatcher, she learns the victim’s parents are being accused of the crime. Christine’s cop instincts tell her the detectives are wrong and she launches her own investigation.
This movie is good for the first 15 minutes and the last 30 minutes. The middle is a bore. They force an unnecessary romance to spice things up up a bit. But like with relationships; if you need to spice it up, it’s over. Then the movie jumps from drama, to mystery, to romance, to horror, to medical. In other words, it’s all over the place. This movie can be skipped.
I give it 2 out of 5 stars
