Latif returns home from work after his daughter, Fatiha, tells him that her mother, Khadijah, died suddenly. He grieves at his mosque but has a difficult time praying to a God who took his wife away. Latif’s imam, Abdul Malik, reminds Latif that the community is there if he needs help. Latif spends time with his three children. Fatiha is a teen and most like her mother, Qadir is 10 years old, and Aziza is an infant. Latif sees their are running low on breast milk and tries to give Aziza formula. However, the baby regurgitates it. Malik goes to the mosque and asks Fatiha to inquire if any women are nursing. She sits in the back and sees milk in a woman’s purse. She runs out with the purse, and the woman’s husband chases after her. Latif hits the husband before he can explain.

The leader calls everyone inside the mosque while they return the purse. The leader asks the kids to sit in the waiting room while they talk to Latif privately. Annoyed, Latif looks at Mike. Mike hired Latif as a security specialist because of Latif’s military background. Latif hunts people who commit crimes against religious leaders without punishment. Latif has ignored Mike’s calls for days because Latif has been focused on his children. Mike doesn’t care. He wants Latif to kill religious leader Hwan Yoon. Hwan has been attacking Mike’s nephew, Hatty, online. Hatty presents himself online as a cryptobro. However, Hatty runs an adult film studio, and Hwan accuses Hatty’s studio of being a front for human trafficking. Hwan plans to kill Hatty and convert his studio into a church. Mike wants Hwan dead. Latif laughs and declines.

Latif leaves the room but can’t find his kids. Hatty chuckles because they are in his van. Latif sprints to the van and finds his children surrounded by adult film stars. He demands his children leave the van and takes them home. Later, Qadir admits one of the women fed Aziza. Latif tries other avenues to get milk but can’t. He goes to Hatty and pleads for the woman’s information. Hatty says he will give Latif the location if Latif stars in one of his films. Latif overpowers and handcuffs Hatty after Hatty threatens his children. He tells Latif the woman’s name is Fugazi and gives up her location.

Latif arrives and finds a strip club. Fugazi feeds Aziza and bags more milk for Latif. As Latif prays, Hwan enters. He knows Mike sent someone to kill him. Hwan took over the strip club and turned it into a church. Fugazi is one of his disciples now and leaves with Aziza. Hwan wants Latif’s car keys so his men can take Hatty. But Latif refuses and runs. He grabs his baby from Fugazi and sprints into the woods with Hatty. For safety, he tells his children to meet him at a restaurant. However, Hwan finds him there. He takes Hatty and warns Latif that his family is in danger. Latif hurries home with his kids and sees Mike and his goons in the parking lot. Can Latif save his family and keep his faith?

This action thriller pits three righteous men against each other. This isn’t a mindless, kill-everyone film. It explores deeper themes of faith, morality, and fatherhood. Latif doesn’t try to be everything at once. He know he can’t fill Khadijah’s shoes, so he leans on his community for help. Latif deals with work-life balance. However, his work involves killing people. The physicality is about movement rather than gore. The director and lead were set to work on another film. That stunt work shines. The film slows the action where needed so you can see Latif calculate his next move. The film’s writer knows both faiths and presents them honestly. It separates the men’s actions from their faith, ensuring it is not on trial, but morality. The director took no risky shots to display the action. With the film’s balance, viewers forget the major conflict. And the ending feels rushed and flat, but caring.

I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars
