The Copycat Killer – Review
The Copycat Killer – Lifetime – 2 hours and 0 minutes
Ellie and Kenneth return home after a celebration dinner. Ellie unmasked the Sigil Slayer and became a darling in the behavioral crime field. After waking from a night of passion, Ellie walks to the bathroom and removes her necklace. She looks up and sees the Sigil Slayer, Boyd, standing behind her. He forces her to the ground and tries to stab her. Kenneth sneaks up on him and hits Boyd in the head, knocking Boyd unconscious. Two years later, Boyd is in jail for life, but the attack affects Ellie to this day. Her research assistant, Vale, signed Ellie up for a conference. Ellie says no, but Vale has made the agreement. Vale believes this will help Ellie overcome her panic attacks.
While Ellie drives, Vale flips through the conference brochure. Ellie glances at it and fumes. Her ex-boyfriend Kenneth will be there. After the attack, he wrote a book about the Sigil Slayer and made himself the hero of her story. To make matters worse, he and Ellie will be on the same panel. Ellie grits her teeth. If Boyd couldn’t destroy her, she won’t let Kenneth.
Before the panel, Detective Deloria congratulates Ellie for coming out. They argued during the investigation, but now they get along. Ellie takes the stage but starts to panic and swiftly exits. She fears she will become a viral sensation because a reporter from Behavioral Crime Magazine was in the audience. Ellie and Vale sit at a diner while Ellie spirals. Reporter Julian approaches with genuine concern. He promises not to post about the panic attack and checks on Ellie. Ellie exhales and offers to do the interview he requested. Then, waitress Kristine approaches. She is a fan of Ellie’s work and is studying the field because of Ellie. However, she thinks Ellie made a mistake. Kristine believes there were two killers because of Boyd’s background. He grew up in a local foster home known for abuse. No one looked into Boyd’s past after Ellie caught him. After Kristine leaves, Ellie tells Vale that she believes Kristine is right. She always felt their was an accomplice. Vale assures Ellie that she got it right before leaving.
Ellie spends the night with Julian while suppressing flashbacks about Boyd’s attack. Days later, Detective Deloria stops Ellie for questioning. Kristine went to the abandoned foster home, and someone killed her. Ellie must face her demons and unlock the case. She has to find this copycat killer before they kill again. She must act fast because she’s Deloria’s number one suspect. Can Ellie clear her name before she’s behind bars?
This thriller will have you in a chokehold. The opening scene is the attack, but you know little about the original killer. The plot uses reveals about Boyd and his past to pace. The film exposes the first twist early, but experienced Lifetimers will see it coming. The second twist will throw you for a loop. And the clues were there, but you will be looking in the wrong direction. Unlike other Lifetime thrillers, it made the monologue worthwhile. The plot kept a great pace because something dramatic happened before each break. The writer created extra tension with the relationship issues between Kenneth and Ellie and Ellie and Detective Deloria. Their combative dynamic pushed Ellie to ramp up her investigation. The backing track and chaotic flashback will make your heart race. While the setup and execution were great, Ellie’s lack of self-preservation in the script is extremely concerning. It would be best to explain why someone would put themselves in danger after surviving a horrific attack. Ellie’s dangerous behavior makes viewers less sympathetic to her plight.

The Wrong Housemaid – Review
The Wrong Housemaid – LMN – 2 hours and 0 minutes
Mona and her daughter, Denise, are waiting for the furniture to arrive. Until then, Mona wants to keep the place clean, but Denise is slow to help. While stumbling with groceries, a woman named Renee approaches, startling Mona. She helps Mona bring in the groceries and hands Mona her business card. Renee broke up with her boyfriend, and now she needs to make ends meet while attending school online. She is a professional housemaid and offers her references. Mona is unsure but takes Renee’s card. Later, Mona meets with her boss, Sharon, who spies Renee’s card. Sharon urges Mona to get help and spend more time with Denise. She calls Renee’s reference, who gives Renee a glowing review. Mona decides to give Renee a chance and hires her. Mona breathes a sigh of relief, but she has made a mistake. Her past haunts her, and it desires revenge. Can Mona survive?
This film gives you the proper setup with two people escaping in the beginning. So, you are locked in to learn more. However, the plot jumps forward ten years. Then, the storyline lags as the main characters do unbelievable things to put themselves in danger. The motive, twists, and attacker are obvious. And even Sharon calls the ending anticlimactic. Luckily, ‘The Wrong’ fans get the classic catchphrase.

Love Finds You – Review
Love Finds You – Hallmark – 2 hours and 0 minutes
After leaving several Post-it notes for her delivery man, Alexandra Brown calls her best friend, Megan, after finding a relationship graveyard in her home. Alexandra has mementos from each of her relationships, and it gives Megan an idea. She heard about a ritual called Fire and Aspire. You burn things from the past and manifest what you want. Alexandra thinks the idea is worth a try and invites her neighbor Brooke to attend the ritual. Alexandra burns her exes’ things. Then, she hopes for a man who likes pop music, is fun, and prefers EQ over IQ.
Jack delivers packages for Express Now, and he is in a lucrative competition with another driver, Irina. If he wins, he will use the money to pay off his sister’s school loans and get something nice for himself. So every good review counts. Logistics operator Ed is on thin ice because he’s been routing packages to the wrong area. Jack offers to say nice things about him around the bosses. Ed sees a few packages he forgot and hands them to Jack. Jack sees Alex Brown on a package and grits his teeth. Her obsessive notes grate his nerves. He scans the package, but it makes a weird sound. He ignores it and delivers it to Alexandra while ignoring her notes.
Alexandra grabs her packages but doesn’t know why the delivery man refuses to answer her notes. She opens the purple box and realizes it’s not for her. However, the contents align with the man she wanted to manifest. She calls Megan and Brooke, and they can’t believe it. Alexandra sees Jack later and alerts him that he delivered the package to the wrong person. He wants it back, but she refuses. She wants to ride with him to meet the man of her dreams. Jack doesn’t want to argue because it will affect his rating and the competition. So he agrees to let her ride with him until she finds her mystery man. Until then, she will help him with his rating with her positive attitude. Will Alexandra’s quest lead them to something more?
This romantic comedy is sharp, charming, and funny. The chemistry between the two is solid, and they grow together during Jack’s route. They aren’t enemies, but they aren’t friends either. At first, they find a way to get on each other’s nerves without meeting. That build makes this script stand out from others. And watching Alexandra meet Jack’s sister, Hayley, will make any Hallmarkie laugh out loud. The comedy makes their love stronger. The montage makes the courtship believable, and each cast member plays an integral part in the plot. The film doesn’t lag, and the classic misunderstanding doesn’t come at the end. It starts with the package. Now, the conclusion gives every character a complete ending. However, it does feel rushed. If you get up for a glass of water, you will miss it. This film is a wonderful start to the 2026 Fall Into Love slate.
