After meeting in a bar’s quiz competition, team captains Annie and Max fall in love and get married.  Annie is ready to start a family but learns that Max will have a hard time conceiving.  She knows that Max is competitive and his brother Brooks’s success, good looks, and overall dominance must be messing with his mojo.  And with Brooks coming into town, Annie worries Max’s issues will only get worse.  Annie and Max host a weekly game night with their friends Kevin, Michelle, and Ryan.  Kevin and Michelle, now married, have been dating since high school.  And Ryan brings a new girl each week.  After Brooks embarrasses Max again during the game night, he offers to host one of his own.  Max and Annie decide to go just to destroy Brooks at his own game and get his mojo back.  Brooks decides to bring game night up a notch by hiring actors to kidnap him and leave clues for them to find him.  The first one to find him will win his car, a Porshe Spyder (Max’s dream car).  An FBI detective comes in and gives them dossiers with their first clues, then 2 men come in, beat up Brooks, and take him.  The 3 couples continue eating and reading their clues.  But they don’t know that the FBI agent was fake, but the kidnappers are real.  In the end, bullets will fly, blood will be everywhere, and the truth will come out.

How can you not laugh?  This movie was funny from beginning to end.  With a creepy neighbor, Denzel Washington, and a bloody dog, it has everything.  It will keep you wondering what is real and what is fake.  The writers that brought you Horrible Bosses, wins with this funny take on Game Night (FTC Affiliate Disclaimer).  You will laugh so hard, you will miss other jokes.  So don’t be surprised if you want to watch this movie again.  Game Night has no lulls, it gets going from beginning to end.  And what makes it funnier is the couples say what others only think.  See this one with friends and have a good laugh.

Anastasia is trying to settle into her life as Mrs. Grey. As she learns about managing a home from Gail, understanding the vastness of her husband’s amassed fortune, and claim her identity at SIP, her head is spinning. She is put at ease with Christian’s expertise in BDSM.  When her past with he ex-boss Jack Hyde comes back into her life, she and Christian are in a state of constant fear.  Christian’s fears hold greater depth than Ana because he is lying to her about the extent of Jack’s depravity. He hopes to keep her safe from Jack’s accusations and violence. However, when this franchise come to its final climax, Jack won’t be the only intruder in the Grey’s life.

Based on Fifty Shades Freed by E.L. James, this movie is the final installment of the successful franchise (FTC Affiliate Disclaimer).  While it does fall in line with the book, some parts are taken out for the sake of running time.  But rest assured the overall story is still there including the most memorable parts of the book.  With a short running time, it does feel a bit rushed.  One moment they are newlyweds and 30 minutes later, Christian comes home drunk after hearing Ana’s big news.  Fans of the book will not be disappointed, it is the best of the 3.  Also, it’s a great commercial ad for Audi.  And stay past the 1st set of end credits.

I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars

Bea believes that humans were latecomers to the forest and should allow the animals to roam freely in their gardens.  Her neighbor Mr. McGregor firmly disagrees.  So when Peter’s dad saw the fence going up, he went into Mr. McGregor’s yard and was killed and turned into a pie.  That harsh lesson taught Peter to be careful and devise plans before entering McGregor’s garden.  However, one day while chasing Peter, Mr. McGregor has a heart attack and dies.  The animals in the woods go wild and take over Mr. McGregor’s yard and home.  In London, Tom McGregor got bad news.  His great uncle died.  But Tom is more concerned about a promotion than an uncle never knew.  However, when he is turned down for a promotion he deserved due to nepotism.  He goes ballistic and loses his job.  His former boss tells him to go to his Uncle’s home (he just inherited) and relax.  Tom comes to the McGregor Manor to find it overrun with animals.  He wants to be rid of all of them.  His new neighbor Bea attempts to sway him to allow the animals to roam free.  He agrees in front of her but goes after Peter and his friends.  Meanwhile, when Peter sees that Bea is falling for Tom, he decides to put an end to Tom and his deceitful ways.

Based on Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, this is an imaginative and funny take on a classic children’s story (FTC Affiliate Disclaimer).  It quickly gets your attention with classic “Disney”-style singing birds who are consistently interrupted.  Providing a great running gag while allowing the film to separate themselves from other live action movies.  There are plenty of jokes for children and adults alike.  However, please be advised that the movie shows Daddy Rabbit getting caught and then a warm pie coming out of the oven.  If your children can handle this 5-second scene, then bring them.
