Who Killed JonBenet? – Lifetime – 2 hours and 2 minutes
On Christmas night, JonBenet went to sleep and never woke up. Her death sparked a mystery that has lasted 2 decades. As the Boulder police, who believed they were investigating a kidnapping, allowed people to walk throughout the house and clean. But in order to keep John focus, Detective Linda asked John (JonBenet’s father) and Fleet (John’s best friend) to search the house again. That is when they made a horrific discovery of JonBenet’s body. Then, the police focused on John, Patsy (JonBenet’s mother), and Burke (JonBenet’s brother) and turned the media spotlight on the family and their friends. With the whole world watching and judging, the sad truth is, a little girl is dead and no one is paying for the crime.
This movie, narrated by JonBenet (voice actress portraying little girl), brings more doubt on the family even though they have been exonerated of the crime. It is heart wrenching to see the discovery of JonBenet’s body when the rigor mortis set in. Then, the movie takes you into the investigation of the note, the 911 call, the crime scene, and JonBenet body. But this movie delves deeper into exposing the police investigation into this crime and the D.A. motivation to solve it. You need to pay attention to know all the characters. But people with young children or weak stomachs shouldn’t watch this movie.
