Mommy’s Secret – Lifetime – 2 hours and 2 minutes

Mommy's Secret

The town of Westmount has been hit with a string of robberies with few clues. People in the community are concerned including, Denise. The soccer player and high school student is worried about her gambling addicted step-brother (Kyle), getting a scholarship for college, missing her father, and her mom’s stress. Its easy to see why she is scared and concerned for everyone around her. But as she follows the case, she starts to notice that the bank robber seems a little familiar … or familial. She swears her mom, Ann, is behind the robberies. But as she uncovers the truth, she will learn the real reason why … and “why” is always the most dangerous part.

This movie gives a new twist to the bank robbing mom story. Normally, they are robbing to cover up spending addiction, paying medical bills, or the love of a man. But as your understanding of Ann grows, so will you dislike for Denise and Kyle. She comes off more annoying than concerned and he comes as more brat than trouble addict. But this movie does deliver with twist and turn just as the movie gets stagnant. So get your tea and start sipping. You will be yelling at the TV by the time this one is over.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars
