#NewlywedAndDead – Review

Newlywed And Dead – Lifetime – 2 hours 2 minutes

Newlywed and Dead

Kristin and Jay have eloped and are making plans that will effect their neighborhood. Jay wants to turn his quaint hotel into a much bigger and more modern hotel. Jay’s biggest hurdle is his aunt, Barbara. She is worried that the new hotel will make it harder for residents to continue to live there. In order to help smooth things over, Kristin offers to meet with Barbara. During their meeting, Barbara reveals a devastating secret: Kristin looks just like Jay’s dead mom. Kristin runs to Jay and tells him to stop trying to change her. He agrees and focuses on work. Everything seems to get better but then accidents follow this couple like a plague. But there are a few people with something up their sleeves.

This movie is predictable with a clueless wife, psycho husband, and dead bodies but there is a slap in the face, you won’t see coming. The slow build, for character development, leads to a quick burn. At times, the main characters clueless-ness is laughable. The kick ass mom makes this movie enjoyable. Moms everywhere will cheer and quickly fall in love with this character. So sit through the dry beginning for the kick ass moments with mom.
