Mike and Dave Stangle have a bad history at family functions. They caused an explosion at their parents 4th of July party, caused an horrible accident at their cousins wedding, and almost killed their grandfather at his 50th birthday. Jeanie, their little sister, asked them to bring dates … nice girls … to her wedding; so they will not get riled up and ruin her wedding. So Mike and Dave create a Craigslist ad for nice girls to be their dates at the sister’s Hawaiian wedding. The ad goes viral and girls come from every direction. To narrow down their choices, Mike and Dave go on the Wendy Williams show. And who is watching … Tatiana and Alice.

Tatiana and Alice have been friends since grade school and work together as waitresses at Saki Bomb. Alice is still depressed that she was left at the alter and drinks to ease the pain. After getting fired, Tatiana sees the Stangle brothers on TV and decides that this is just what they both need. A vacation to forget the past. However, they are far from the nice girls Dave and Mike want. So they clean up their act and, instead of Craigslist, the find a different way to get the guys attention. And it works!!! Of course everyone in the Stangle family loves Tatiana and Alice, but the girls true colors show. The Stangle Brothers realize that Tatiana and Alice are just the female version of them. With an ATV to the face, well placed horses, some mystery bags, a crazy spa day, and a really big bush, this wedding is hanging on by a wire. Will the Stangle brothers or Tatiana and Alice cause the most damage?

Get ready to cover your eyes, cringe, and be shocked, but, be warned, the funniest parts are in the trailer … not the most shocking.  Based on the book, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates: and a Thousand Cocktails, this movie does not take itself too seriously, even during the sappy moments they throw in a joke and try to make your laugh (FTC Affiliate Disclaimer). Now the key word in that sentence is try. Some jokes did fall flat or feel forced. And when the script started to lack, they just turned up the cursing or the sexual innuendos. With the raunchy comedy veterans these characters aren’t a stretch for them. This is a matinee if you like raunchy comedies but if you are on the fence, wait for Redbox.
