On August 30, Kevin Hart gambled and fought for what he is about to do … on stage … right now. And that’s, make you laugh. With cameos from Hollywood heavyweights, he mustards up a James Bond performance with a mix of Equalizer and Rain Man in a 17 minute long intro (FTC Affiliate Disclaimer). Then, Kevin Hart does an 1-hour stand-up routine that includes his family, Tasmanian devils, raccoons, WiFi, texting, and Starbucks. You cannot leave your seat because, in true Kevin Hart form, the jokes intertwine and resurface. He will make you laugh until you cry because of the honesty in his life experience.
What sets this record breaking performance off from the rest, is the lighting, music, and background for Kevin’s stories. The Cinematographer and Gaffer worked their magic to take us to Kevin’s home, driveway, phone, and bathroom. It really puts you in Kevin’s shoes and makes the laughs much bigger. This may not be his best performance but it is still a great one. Be prepared to laugh … even at yourself. A good movie at full price, but no need to say after the end crawl.
I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars
