The 43-year-old, Bridget Jones, finds herself single and alone on her birthday. So, she decides to focus on hedonism instead of love. While at a Glamping (Glamorous Camping) Music Festival, she hooks up with Jack and then leaves while he is out getting coffee. Then a few days later, she hooks up with Mr. Darcy at her goddaughter’s christening. Afraid of running into the same pattern, she leaves Mr. Darcy before sunrise. A few weeks later, Bridget can’t fit into her skinny jeans; to which her friend replies “Could you be pregnant?” One Clear Blue test later, Bridget is given the shock of her life but with one important question. Who is the father: Jack (her one-night stand) or Mr. Darcy (her long-time love)? Bridget has to tell both men that she is pregnant and another man may be the father. Now the former was easy and both men were supportive. However, that latter will be harder than ever. This pregnancy is in true Bridget Jones fashion.

As the third installment of the Bridget Jones Series, this movie picks up with the necessary time gap (FTC Affiliate Disclaimer). Mr. Darcy is married and Bridget is now the top producer at Hard News. She has given up smoking and lost weight. She also describes herself as a SPILF (Spinster I’d Like to F***). Fans of this series will have a fun time with easy jokes and crazy situations. Jack’s reaction may be a stretch for some, but it makes men look good. The fact that both men and Bridget understand the importance of being a father, is refreshing in today’s movies. Be prepared for a funeral, an amazing soundtrack, and a moment Bridget Jones’s Fans have been waiting for since the books (FTC Affiliate Disclaimer). This movie is great at full price.
