Damaged – LMN – 2 hours 0 minutes
Sam and Kate Luck live up to their surname. They are a couple who work hard at their respective jobs, live in a nice home, and are about to start a business venture with a trusted friend, Declan. With an arrival of a new neighbor, Taran, Sam’s world starts to fall apart. Sam’s car is stolen, money for his business venture is missing, his dog dies, and he loses his job. Kate and Declan try to warn Sam that Taran maybe the problem, but Sam doesn’t believe that this sweet, lonely girl means him any harm. Who is right and who is wrong? Only time will tell.
Get ready to roll your eyes and yell at the TV. Sam is so naive to the “crazy school girl” warning signs. As an avid LMN watcher you know the cause of all of Sam’s problems. But you don’t know why its happening. This movie boils down to the “why” not “who, what, when, where, or how”. Just the “why”? And yes it takes 2 hours to get there. It’s a slow build. So pay attention for 30 minutes, do something else for an hour, then watch the last 30 minutes. Not horrible but not great. You can guess the end moments before it happens but it’s still surprising to watch.
I give this 2.5 out of 5 stars
