CEO Jackie Cruz arrives at AirCruz and goes over the latest lawsuit with her right-hand woman, Sydney. Another airline is suing Jackie for poaching their deal at a major airport. Jackie gets her corporate lawyer, Peter, on the phone. He grabs his breakfast burrito and assures her he has a winning strategy. Then, he chokes, and EMTs rush him to the hospital.

Sydney grabs the next lawyer in line, Daniel, and sends him to Jackie’s office. His co-workers warn Daniel that Jackie is tough and give him tips to quell her wrath. Daniel meets Jackie, and he believes it’s an easy case. They arrive at the negotiating table, and Daniel takes control of the meeting. They return to Jackie’s office, and she thanks him for his thorough work. When he shakes her hand, Jackie looks down and sees his erection. She demands he leave, and Daniel makes a hasty exit. Jackie blushes over him in bed, while embarrassment keeps Daniel awake.

Before work, Daniel visits the local prison to visit his sister, Lizzy. She can tell something’s going on with Daniel. He admits he has a crush on his boss, but he can’t act on it. The company has a strict anti-fraternization policy. Daniel and Lizzy are immigrants. If he loses his job, he could be deported. Daniel won’t be able to see Lizzy again. He must steer clear of Jackie.

To everyone’s surprise, Peter arrives at work on a scooter. He’s ready to take over the lawsuit, but Jackie says no. She wants Daniel to stay on the case. Peter threatens to quit if she doesn’t change her mind. Jackie refuses to budge on her stance. So, Peter exits, triggering a board meeting. The board believes Peter’s resignation is a sign of Jackie’s unstable leadership. They think she should step down. Her father, Captain Jack Cruz, saunters into the room and defends Jackie. They relent and allow her to remain CEO. Jackie knows the board is looking for an excuse to get rid of her. And an inappropriate relationship with a co-worker is the leverage they need. Jackie swears she will stay away from David. But they can’t deny the white-hot heat between them. What will they do when their secret affair becomes corporate fodder?

This edgy comedy feels forced, and the dialogue is mildly entertaining. And the leads’ chemistry is lackluster. It’s their awkwardness that captivates viewers. Also, the side characters, Lizzy and Sydney, are doing the heavy lifting. Their straightforward comic relief and physical comedy outshine every aspect of this film. The movie does have mid- and post-credits scenes. However, only the mid-credit scene is worth your time. This film found the perfect home on Netflix.
