The life of Jackson Healy and Holland March collide over one wild girl, Amelia. Amelia asked Jackson, a fixer/enforcer, to find some guys who have been following her and make them stop. Holland, a private investigator, is hired by Mrs. Glenn. Mrs. Glenn swears she saw her niece, Misty Mountains, in Misty’s apartment 2 days after she died. While investigating, Holland realized the Mrs. Glenn saw Amelia. So he goes to find and question her. Jackson and Holland’s first encounter ends with a broken bone; but after Jackson comes home to a fight with 2 thugs, Blue Face and Older Guy, he wants to find Amelia and ask her some questions of his own. And who does Jackson go to find Amelia … that’s right … Holland. With the help of Holly, Holland’s 13 year old daughter and the Penny to Holland’s inspector gadget, Jackson and Holland uncover a mystery that includes cars, girls, drugs, the Department of Justice, and porn.
