Our heroes are still living underground with an arrangement with Vern. He takes the credit for taking down Shredder & the Foot Clan and he will keep their secret. For Leonardo, this is a great plan but Donatello, Ralphel, and Michelangelo want to be a part of the world. Michelangelo even makes a short trip out on Halloween. Everything is going fine until Shredder breaks out of prison with the help of Dr. Baxter Stockman and goes through a transport portal to another dimension. On the other side, Shredder meets Krang. Krang tells Shredder that the portal was created with 1 of 3 devices that crash landed on earth. He wants Shredder to find the other 2 pieces and make hole powerful enough to bring a weapon through. This weapon will destroy the earth. The turtles must work together with April, Casey, and the NYPD to stop Krang and Shredder.
Ok … so this movie was … cute. The jokes fell flat, the story was weak, and the end was anti-climactic. The only saving grace was the graphics. The motion capture, action capture, and CGI ran seamlessly with the actors. It’s great to see that the issues and problems in the 1st movie where solved. But its still a flat story. If you have kids that want to come, they will enjoy it. Adults will not. Wait for HBO. Don’t stay after the end crawl.
I give this 2 out of 5 stars
Turtle formation. I thought he said squirrel formation – Michelangelo
Why are you wasting time talking to a grumpy old rat? Go get him – Splinter
