During an awards celebration, Olivia felt cramping. She passes out and is rushed to the hospital. Sadly, she suffers a miscarriage. Her husband, Logan, takes her home and helps her into bed. For months, she hasn’t been able to go into her son’s room. When she works up the courage, she sits and cries.

Later, she and Logan go to a clinic. They scoff at the thought of adoption and say no to surrogacy. However, she gives in to the thought after a bad, drunken night. The agency matches them with potential surrogates, but the interviews leave the couple underwhelmed. The agency gives them one more surrogate. Logan and Olivia set up a meeting at a coffee shop, but the woman never arrives. To Olivia’s surprise, an old college friend, Morgan, enters. They exchange numbers before Olivia and Logan exit.

Olivia and Morgan meet for coffee and discuss the past. Olivia became an award-winning interior designer. However, Morgan dropped out due to financial issues and never landed on her feet. Morgan listens to Olivia’s struggles with infertility and offers to help. She will carry their baby for them. Olivia loves the idea because someone she knows will be carrying her child, not a stranger. She tells Logan about her idea and gets pushback. Olivia ignores his reservations and moves forward. She can’t wait to become a mother. She has no idea that Morgan wants to keep the baby for herself, and she will kill to do it.

Morgan brings crazy to a new level, but Olivia is relentless. Her pursuit of motherhood clouds her judgment. However, she isn’t working with all the information. Her mother, Kristy, and Logan are keeping secrets from her. And the writer keeps the audience in the dark, too. Olivia isn’t the most sympathetic person. She snaps at her friends, disregards her husband, and refuses to take advice. It leaves you on the fence about Morgan’s actions until she goes too far. This movie’s insanity level is next to The Hand that Rocks the Cradle (FTC Affiliate Disclaimer). This movie is for Lifetimers who need something macabre with a decent body count.
