Plant Geneticist Dani works at Veredent Solutions with her mentor, owner Victoria. Victoria admires Dani’s monogrammed pink latex gloves while watching a report on Marcus. Marcus worked at Acava Biopharmaceuticals, and someone murdered him during a home invasion. Victoria shows Dani the report, and it sparks Dani’s interest because her fiancé, Jordan, works there. Dani offers to ask Jordan if he has ever encountered Marcus.
Dani meets Jordan at home after speaking to teens at a community center. He admits to never meeting Marcus but offers to ask around about him. Dani works late the next day, so Jordan makes her dinner and puts it in the fridge. She tells him to exclude anything spicy. Dani takes the meal to work and chokes after drinking Jordan’s punch. He put pepper in it. Dani texts Jordan that she is going to kill him. Then, Dani informs Victoria that Jordan promised to question co-workers about Marcus.
Dani arrives at home but chooses not to go through the front door. She wants to retaliate and prank Jordan. The neighbor watches Dani sneak into the back door. Dani grabs a knife and searches for Jordan. She finds him on the floor, foaming at the mouth, and calls 911. Dani converses with an operator when someone attacks her. She fights back, and the killer runs when they see police lights.
Detective Nadine and Lance interview Dani, but they don’t believe her story about the intruder because there wasn’t forced entry. They found her monogrammed gloves near the body and a vial of poison with her company’s logo. They arrest Dani after discovering her text message threatening to kill him and bring her to the station. Dani panics when they question her with mounting evidence. Someone set her up to take the fall. But she must figure out who and why. So, Dani escapes police custody. Can she find Jordan’s killer before the police find her?
This mystery allows the audience to know the killer without the motive. So, you uncover the motivation with Dani as she unveils the clues. Dani doesn’t wait for someone to rescue her. She is one step ahead while fighting for her life. The mystery circles back to every insignificant conversation. The corruption includes discrimination and greed. The recap happens quickly, so viewers must pay attention. The fight scenes are a bit overdramatic. The quips and fights will cause you to laugh more than worry about Dani’s safety. Also, the opening fight sequence aims more for gore than realism. The plot is far-fetched, but the film is an entertaining enigma.

Agents wake up President Danielle and First Gentleman Derek Sutton. They found their daughter, Serena, and brought her home after she snuck out to party. Danielle is furious because Serena’s poor behavior will make the news and reflect poorly on Danielle. She demands to know how Serena escaped. The agents find an RFID machine and Serena’s room. Danielle and Derek take Serena’s devices and ground Serena for her behavior as her brother, Demetrius, gleefully smiles.
The first family eats breakfast, and Danielle and Derek announce that Serena and Demetrius will attend the G20 summit so Danielle can watch Serena. Danielle hosts a press conference, but when the questions turn to Serena’s antics, Danielle ends it. Danielle will introduce cryptocurrency usage to revitalize the farming industry during the summit.
The family arrives in Cape Town, South Africa, in an armored car with Agent Manny, Agent Darden, Treasury Secretary Joanna, and Agent Perry. Agent Manny and Darden leave with the first couple and Joanna, while Agent Perry stays with the kids. Manny surveys the room, and Joanna whispers the names and titles of other leaders to Danielle. Derek leaves the conference area and enters the elevator while Danielle mingles as Manny guards her. Then, several armed men enter and lock the doors. Danielle and Manny use their military training to fight back and escape with First Lady Han Min-Seo, Head of the Monetary Fund Elena Romano, and Prime Minister Oliver Everett.
Terrorist Edward and his goons count the leaders in the room and realize several people are missing. He sends his gang after them. Edward instructs the leaders to read a phrase on camera. Leader Lee Young-Ho recognizes the statement as a phonetic pangram. Edward can use the recording to generate deepfake videos of world leaders and manipulate their governments. Lee refuses, and Edward cuts off his ear. Other world leaders concede to Edward’s demands and pray someone will free them. That person is President Danielle. She is on a mission to stop Edward and save her family. Can she uncover a way out before Edward and his gang find her and her family?
Reminiscent of White House Down, this movie puts the president in outlandish situations with specialized skills (FTC Affiliate Disclaimer). Danielle fights terrorists while repairing her relationship with her daughter. While her marriage runs smoothly, Danielle balances the delicate relationship with other leaders. Danielle discovers corruption within her ranks while battling for the world. The script drops enough clues for viewers to recall all the prior intimate details. This plot handles a highly debated topic on social media. If your children and spouse are in danger, who would you save? Danielle and Derek have the same answer, and despite their children’s wishes, they act accordingly. Viewers will enjoy this movie if they don’t take it seriously.

It’s been fifteen years since Nyna worked in the studio. She loved singing and was on her way to stardom until a producer, Von, assaulted her. Now, Nyna does drugs, works as a bottle girl, and sells her body for money. Her saving grace is her daughter, Lizzy. After working all night, Nyna comes home with an eviction notice. She owes $3,000. She has money but still needs $500. So Nyna asks her friend, Tamara, to watch Lizzy. She works at the bar and considers going home with a man, but changes her mind to spend more time with Lizzy. Nyna walks to the subway station.
Darin Blackstone, head of Blackstone Records, and musical artist Vito arrive at the rehab center to pick up Darin’s brother, producer Jesse. Jesse went into a downward spiral after their father died. Jesse started using drugs and crashed his car. He completed treatment. Darin welcomes Jesse while Jesse’s therapist warns Jesse to take it slow. Jesse jumps into the vehicle to run from reporters and rides to the record label. Darin gives Jesse his first artist, Rizzy Ray. Jesse listens to her raps and hates them. Darin loves Rizzy because she has over a million followers. Jesse rolls his eyes and accepts the client. Jesse wants to relax at home after a long night in the studio. Vito offers to give Jesse a ride, but Jesse chooses the train.
Nyna finds her friend, Avon, singing on the platform and joins in. Jesse, on the other side, hears Nyna. Her voice mesmerizes him. He shouts at her, but she can’t hear him over the oncoming train. Jesse runs to the other side, but it’s too late. Nyna is gone. However, Avon gives Jesse Nyna’s Instagram handle. Jesse shows Darin some of Nyna’s posts, but Darin isn’t impressed because she doesn’t have enough followers. He demands that Jesse return to the studio with Rizzy. With Vito’s assistance, Jesse tracks Nyna to a park. Jesse pulls Nyna aside and guarantees her dreams will become reality. He only wants her to sing. And he will produce the record independently. Can Nyna and Jesse overcome their past and take the music world by storm?
This film deserves a soundtrack. The music and lyrics will become an earworm and make you dance in your seat. The singers and musicians have an indescribable talent. Jesse and Nyna are two sides of the same coin. Both struggle with addiction and loss. Jesse lost his guiding light, and Nyna hasn’t found her voice since the attack. It’s Lizzy who pulls them together and allows them to trust. She is the purest form of love for them. The acting shines a light on the industry. While many hunger for soul music, the industry pushes clickbait. Today, fans live in a world of algorithms that force commonality instead of individuality. Very few artists can speak to your soul. This movie can open your mind to the dirty tricks the industry plays. The director makes cinematic choices to have Nyna stare into the camera during panic, loss, and fear. Viewers can feel her slipping away and asking for help. This film is art.
