Chloe settles into her new dispatching job and meets two of the drivers, Rita and Theo. Rita calls on the road because there is unforeseen construction. Chloe’s computer freezes, so she uses her phone to give Rita an alternate route. Sadly, the traffic goes for miles. Rita calls back because she won’t get the package delivered on time. Chloe contacts Theo to help. Theo agrees to ship the package. However, the residence is out of his way and will add hours to his schedule. Theo asks Chloe on a date to make up for it. She says yes with a smile. On their date, Theo bullies a guy who accidentally bumps into Chloe. It puts her off Theo. The next day, Rita calls because her client’s package is missing from her truck. Chloe calls all the drivers to check for it, and Theo has it. The package is for Natasha, and Theo delivers it. Chloe realizes that this mix-up happened twice for Natasha. Out of curiosity, Chloe looks up Natasha online and discovers that Natasha is an influencer. Chloe becomes obsessed overnight. Now Chloe will do anything to be Natasha’s best friend. 

Delivery driver Theo meets the new employee, Chloe. During his route, Chloe asks him to deliver a package for Rita. Theo uses this communication to ask Chloe out on a date. Chloe agrees, and Theo brings the package to Natasha. Theo is instantly smitten with the mysterious woman but focuses on his date with Chloe. The date goes well. Then, a man bumps Chloe. Theo grabs the man by his neck. He makes the man apologize. Theo can see the fear in Chloe’s eyes and takes her home. Theo sneaks into Rita’s truck the next day and takes Natasha’s package. When Chloe calls about a missing package, Theo pretends to find it and offers to deliver it to Natasha. He will find a way to make Natasha love him. 

Theo and Chloe find out about Natasha’s book signing, so they both attend. Chloe spots Theo and hides in the bathroom stall. She overhears Natasha talking to her friend. After the friend leaves, Chloe and Natasha bond through the bathroom door. Soon, Theo sees Chloe hanging around Natasha. Chloe thinks Theo is a dangerous stalker and will stand by Natasha’s side to keep Natasha safe. Theo believes Chloe is unhinged and will do anything to protect the woman he loves. With two stalkers and one victim, who will be the last one standing?

Natasha, an influencer, has two types of stalkers. Theo is a nonintimate stalker. He wants a relationship with Natasha. He is willing to kidnap, lie, and threaten to make Natasha see that he is the man for her. Chloe is a celebrity stalker. She is lonely and dreams of having a meaningful relationship with Natasha. When they disrupt each other’s fantasies, Chloe and Theo become dangerous to Natasha and each other. Natasha isn’t to blame for their awful behavior and spots red flags in their behavior. The plot is wild, but the ending leaves a disturbing part two possible.

Everything Christmas – Hallmark – 2 hours and 0 minutes

LJ’s boss, Randy, drops a new account on her desk and expects her to work through the holidays. LJ reminds Randy that she put in PTO to attend Yuletide Springs. A town that celebrates Christmas every day with a wishing tree. LJ discussed the town with her grandmother while making ornaments. LJ and her grandmother wanted to visit. However, her grandmother died. LJ kept one of the ornaments. She wants to hang it on the wishing tree during her visit. Randy tells LJ to cancel her plans and work over the holidays. LJ leaves a Post-It with ‘I Quit.’ She exits with no plans to return. LJ convinces her friend, co-worker Tori, to come. Tori accepts but will answer the phone whenever Randy calls. Tori is too cautious to quit her job.

LJ hears strange noises from her car before it dies. They wait for help, and a tow driver, Carl, with antlers on his truck, pulls over to help. Carl and LJ instantly connect, and Tori can’t deny it. Carl and LJ love Christmas and all its festivities, but Carl hasn’t heard about Yuletide Springs. He checks LJ’s car and determines it needs a fan belt. He doesn’t have the part and asks LJ and Tori to wait while he drives into town to get it. After 45 minutes of waiting, Tori’s concern grows. She wants to leave when a red pickup truck parks behind him. Chris Kringle exits the truck and offers to fix their vehicle. He happens to have the part they need. Chris leaves as Carl returns. He feels poorly about not fixing LJ’s car, so he invites her into his town to celebrate the holidays.

LJ, Carl, and Tori find Chris performing at the community center. He knows everyone’s name, Christmas wishes, and dreams. Tori wants to know how his illusions work, but Chris won’t disclose it. LJ and Tori spend more time in the town. Later, Chris gives them gifts with zero explanation. He gives Tori a stamp and LJ a gift voucher. They take the confusing gifts with a smile and leave town. LJ and Tori believe this is the last time they will see Carl or Chris again, but this is only act one.

This movie focuses on holiday magic, but it isn’t childish. The plot explains Chris’s abilities in the conclusion. However, viewers will hope the magic is authentic. Each hint comes full circle and brings LJ closer to Yuletide Springs and love. Tori is the voice of reason, but the script is careful not to paint her as a stick in the mud. She is a responsible realist. LJ isn’t using love to escape her humdrum life. LJ left everything behind in the first five minutes. She is a woman on a mission. This movie entertains, but it’s easy to guess the conclusion.

Mystery on Mistletoe Lane – HMM – 2 hours and 0 minutes

Heidi moves into a new home to start her job as director of the town’s historical society. Her ex-husband, Robert, will bring their kids, Annie and Garrett, to join Heidi later. Heidi comes to her new job with a head full of ideas. Her co-worker, Linda, delights at hearing them all. When Heidi questions the lack of decorations, Linda informs Heidi that David is bringing them down. David brings down one empty tree, and Heidi scoffs at the previous director’s decorations. David defends the director’s fiscal spending because he was the director. Heidi gets a call from her movers. A mover tripped on a floorboard and knocked a picture off the wall, causing a hole. David offers to fix the floor and the wall because he has a historical home restoration business.

David follows her home and fixes her floor. Heidi looks into the hole in the wall and finds a wooden reindeer with D3 on the bottom. She picks up the painting and finds a poem on the back. Heidi concludes that the previous owner was a Christmas lover and hid items in the home. Heidi answers a knock at the door. It’s Robert with their kids. Robert drops them off for Heidi but shows interest when he sees David in the home. The kids, especially Annie, want to stay with Robert because they don’t want to move. Garrett looks through his new bedroom and finds a note in a dresser drawer. It’s step one in a scavenger hunt. Garrett and Annie decide to stay with Heidi to finish the hunt and find all the clues without telling Heidi. Heidi wants to discover the home’s original owner. The family will uncover a secret in David’s past, eight clues, and Mistletoe Manor.

This film is what viewers expect from HMM. It has a compelling mystery with Christmas whimsy and flare. Annie and Garrett look around the home for clues as Heidi and David use their skills to find the owner. The mystery comes full circle after their stories collide. The story has some heartbreak but makes the characters and viewers understand the importance of family. Annie and Garrett appreciate their mom through the clues. And working with each other allows the family to bridge a gap. Also, David must repair his relationship with his dad. His dad never put much into the holiday, but David never understood why. David will connect to his father and heal generational wounds. The love story between David and Heidi is barely noticeable because the mystery takes center stage. With the proper writing, this could be a yearly series.

Wren receives a distressing call from her sister, Kayla, and drives home to help. Kayla says their parents, Paul and Julie, constantly fight, and she can’t take it. Wren advises Kayla to stay at a friend’s home for the night. Wren promises to pick Kayla up in the morning. Wren hasn’t been home since she left her ex-fiancé, Oliver, standing at the altar.

Wren exits her vehicle, and her parent’s neighbor, Mia, accosts her. Wren puts Mia in her place and enters the home to find Julie dead in the bathtub. The police investigate, but Wren sees that Detective Ridley believes she could be involved. Paul and Wren’s brother, Brody, return to give Wren a reprieve. The news leaves Paul and Brody distraught.

Wren picks up Kayla in the morning and gives Kayla the horrible news. Wren answers a knock and sees Oliver there for Kayla. Oliver works for Paul and remains close to the family. Kayla called Oliver to flee the house. So, Wren goes with them. During their walk, Wren runs into an old friend, Gina. Gina works at Julie’s flower shop and asks Wren to visit for information.

Wren goes to the shop but hides when she sees Paul leaving while arguing on the phone with someone. Gina tells Wren that Mia and Julie were business partners before Julie’s death. However, Julie suspected Mia of wrongdoing and took the shop’s key from Mia. Gina hands over the company financials to Wren. Wren gives them to Brody to investigate. Wren believes someone murdered Julie. Can she prove it after Paul got the body cremated?

This family’s history will need your undivided concentration. The plot has adoption, blood relatives, affairs, and too many secrets. Wren isn’t trying to play detective in the beginning. She stumbles across clues just like Julie’s body. The killer attacks her before Wren puts the clues together. If you watch, you will realize she focuses on the wrong suspects until the killer hits her. The plot moves slowly, but thankfully, a nosy neighbor spices things up. She has her eyes on the neighborhood and one hand on her phone. The motive is outlandish but provides the audience with an unassuming culprit.

The Santa Summit – Hallmark – 2 hours and 0 minutes

It’s the last day before the winter break, and Jordin, an art teacher, scrolls through social media for inspiration. Instead, she sees her ex-boyfriend, Nico, with his new girlfriend. Jordin runs to her friend, Stella, with a fresh idea. They should attend the Santa Summit to have fun and try new things. The Santa Summit gathers people in Santa costumes to bar crawl around town and participate in different events. Stella says no, but their other friend, Ava, overhears. Ava, a math teacher, wants to go because her crush, Mr. Ben, will attend. She wants to tell him how she feels for the first time. Ava and Jordin beg Stella to come. They know Stella is unhappy because the board changed her from teaching music to English. Stella caves and says yes.

Liam picked up his life and moved after his job left him unfulfilled. Now, he works for his brother, Mac, to secure contracting work. Liam loves small-town life, and the Santa Summit is a thrill. Mac is happy to show Liam around, but Liam knows Mac will use the summit for business connections. Mac promises to make one or two, but Liam doesn’t expect much. Before they go into the first bar, Liam sees a wallet with a house embroidered on the front. He asks a few people about the wallet, but no one claims it. Then, Liam sees a woman, Jordin, frantically looking at the ground. He asks if she is looking for a wallet, and she breathes a sigh of relief. Dressed as Santa with white beards, they discuss movies, music, and food. Liam offers Jordin a drink inside, and they walk into the bar. A group of people bumps into them and unknowingly separates them. Liam remembers Jordin’s wallet but never saw her face or got her name. Jordin recalls Liam’s tattoo but never asks for his name or sees his face. Liam and Jordin can’t deny their spark. They will go through the entire Santa Summit to find each other. Will their search be fruitless or true love?

First, the Santa Summit looks like a fun time. It includes beer, country line dancing, hot cocoa, pizza, sledding, and a silent disco. Viewers will spend time trying to find the closest summit to them. Second, you will get a laugh out of Liam and Jordin’s near misses. They meet each other’s friends, but something interrupts before they can reveal too much. This search makes Jordin and Liam’s love story funny and entertaining. But they are not the only lovers to follow. Ava continues to look for Ben. She wants to put all her cards on the table, but she can’t find him in the litany of Santas. Stella needs to find her groove. She lost her spirit after the board changed her job. This summit will help Stella find her passion for singing and Christmas. Yes, this film is a rom-com, but it stands out.

Cassie sits in a bar waiting for Austin, but he never shows up. She texts and calls, but no reply. After hours, Cassie returns home and lies to her sister about her home, job, and date. She goes through Austin’s social media and finds a picture of him and another woman. Cassie follows the woman’s hashtags to discover that the unknown woman is Summer, a fitness influencer. She stalks Summer’s social media and uncovers that Summer and Austin’s relationship is 3-months old. Austin dated them both at the same time and ghosted Cassie for Summer. Cassie decides to become like Summer to get Austin’s attention. She follows Summer’s accounts and duplicates Summer’s meals, skincare, workouts, and posts. Cassie’s account doesn’t receive a tenth of Cassie’s followers, and Austin continues to ignore her. Cassie comes to a devious decision. Copying Summer isn’t enough. She must infiltrate Summer’s life and become her to win Austin’s heart.

Reminiscent of Ingrid Goes West, this movie shows the dangerous side of social media. Influencers post so much about themselves that fans can become stalkers. Cassie scrolls all night. Through a deep dive, she learns about Summer’s job, juice bar, and clothing store. Cassie can easily set up a fake meet-cute and perpetrate common interests to become Summer’s best friend. Summer is too accepting of Cassie and feels gullible. However, Summer’s friends can spot something is off with the new girl and don’t keep it a secret. You won’t like Austin, but you will love Summer’s friend, Gage, by the conclusion.

Sarah enters work with a singular focus. She wants the new city contract to tear down the Yuletide community space for affordable housing. Sarah’s assistant, Kylie, warns Sarah the community hates the project. However, Sarah believes progress outweighs the community’s concern. Sarah assures her team they will work through the holidays to get this contract. However, the Carling Group won’t answer Sarah’s phone calls. Kylie spots an email notification from Sarah’s high school. They will have a 10-year reunion, but Sarah RSVP’d no. Sarah turns to her computer to delete the email and sees Melissa Carling in the photos. Sarah knew her in high school, but Melissa had a different last name. Sarah assumes that Melissa married into the Carling family. Sarah decides to go to the reunion to convince Melissa to schedule a meeting with the Carlings.

Scott’s boss, Angelique, saw the news report that Garth is a free agent. She wants Garth to join her sports agency. Garth and Scott went to high school together and played on the same basketball team. When Garth looked for an agent in his rookie year, Angelique’s company turned him down. Scott thinks Garth holds resentment towards him. Scott mentions his past friendship with Garth and the reunion. Angelique wants Scott to attend the reunion, meet with Garth, and persuade Garth to join their agency. If Scott gets Garth, Angelique will give Scott a promotion.

Sarah enters the hotel but doubles back when she spies Scott. She and Scott were high school sweethearts but broke up on Christmas before going to college. They wanted to reconnect but didn’t dare to do so. Sarah bumps into a sign, and Scott sees her. They make polite conversation until the concierge gives them an adjoining room. They try to get different rooms, but the hotel and its surrounding affiliates have no vacancies. Scott and Sarah go to their respective rooms and wait for the morning. Sarah and Scott leave their room when they hear a loud noise outside their doors. It’s their old teacher, Mr. Fletcher, but he died years ago. He is here to show Scott and Sarah their past, and two more ghosts will visit them over the coming days. One will show Scott and Sarah the present and the other the future, and after a visit from all three ghosts, Sarah and Scott must choose to continue their paths or make a change. They are getting the Scrooge treatment.

Inspired by A Christmas Carol, this movie changes the story by giving two people the path to enlightenment (FTC Affiliate Disclaimer). Sarah is the Ebenezer stereotype. She works her employees to the bone and doesn’t say Christmas. Scott doesn’t hate the holiday, but he harbors feelings for Sarah. He was the popular jock, and she was the invisible nerd, but he saw and fell for her. Scott hid his feelings like Scrooge and regretted it. They are two halves of a whole story. The present ghost unveils information in a conference call to keep the story up-to-date. However, they must look at their futures separately. Viewers will love watching Sarah and Scott interact with the ghost, but everything in between is the typical rom-com holiday film. It’s past lovers working together to help each other and fall back in love. It’s nothing special.

You’re Not Supposed to Be Here – Lifetime – 2 hours and 0 minutes

Pregnant Zoe watches TV at home and tries to get her baby to move. When she feels no movement, she frantically calls her wife, Kennedy. Kennedy leaves the client meeting to calm Zoe. Kennedy believes Zoe is overreacting because they lost their last pregnancy. Kennedy hangs up and returns to wow the clients, leaving Zoe unsatisfied. After the meeting, Kennedy’s boss, Robert, gives Kennedy astounding news. She won the clients over and secured the account. He will let her handle it, but she must take some time off. He said it worked wonders for her predecessor, Megan, and Megan decided to be a stay-at-home parent. Kennedy assures Robert that won’t happen, but Robert insists she goes away for the weekend and offers his cabin in Wildwood. Kennedy agrees and hopes the trip will ease Zoe’s mind.

Disheartened with Kennedy’s lackadaisical attitude, Zoe meets with her best friend, Adam. He never liked Kennedy but offered to be the sperm donor for their baby. Zoe feels alone in her pregnancy and grows tired of everyone telling her to relax. Also, Zoe worries that Kennedy doesn’t find her attractive and uses work to avoid her. Adam advises Zoe to be open about her feelings. Before Zoe can implement Adam’s advice, Kennedy tells Zoe they will take a trip tomorrow. Zoe can’t hide her enthusiasm.

Kennedy and Zoe drive to the cabin, but Kennedy stays connected to work. They make a few pit stops and lose their internet connection. Zoe rejoices as Kennedy stews. After they look around the cabin, Zoe notices she forgot her prenatal vitamins. Kennedy thinks Zoe can go two days without it, but Zoe doesn’t want to risk it. So, they go into the town pharmacy, and a lady, Carla, grabs Zoe’s arm. Carla screams that Zoe shouldn’t be there, and Sheriff Jim takes Carla away. He assures Kennedy and Zoe that Carla’s close-minded views don’t represent their town. Zoe and Kennedy leave after not finding the vitamins.

Zoe and Kennedy relax in the backyard to forget the day. Then, people from the neighborhood, including Penny, walk into the backyard with a basket of herbs and fruit. They apologize for Carla’s bigoted actions and invite Zoe and Kennedy to visit their wellness retreat. Penny can help with Zoe’s concerns because she is a midwife. After they leave, Zoe expresses her unease with the town. Zoe believes they ambushed their evening, but Kennedy says they were being neighborly. But Carla wasn’t a bigot or crazy. Zoe and Kennedy shouldn’t be there and could lose everything if they stay.

This plot doesn’t waste one moment with unnecessary dialog or gazing. Every person Zoe and Kennedy meet comes full circle in the story. The action keeps you on your toes and delivers. Although they make one or two poor decisions, most are well thought out and planned. This film covers environmental problems, an aging town, cults, pregnancy, relationship stress, and more. It’s the old-school Lifetime with some new-school elements mixed into it.
