Dana Cummings, an accountant at a state of the art robotics company, discovers a problem in the books. The CEO, Lamar Black, hires Christian Wolff to un-cook the books to see if her finding are real. Wolff is the best in the business, but that’s not all. What people don’t know is that he is a high functioning autistic man that was helped with military training and exposure therapy at the hands of his father. He has looked at the books for the world’s most dangerous criminals to find their missing money, but if they don’t live by his code … they die.

Agent Ray King, in his surveillance of criminal activity, has noticed a familiar man, called The Accountant. Since King will retire in a few months, he “recruits” the help of Agent Marybeth Medina to find and expose “The Accountant”. He wants the accountant’s connections and knowledge.

With enemies coming from all sides, the foothold under Wolff’s feet is slowly coming undone. The last thing Wolff needs is for his life to fall apart, because it can make him crack mentally. Can he maintain his foothold, dodge his enemies, and help Dana?

Well, do you like puzzles? If so, you are in for a real treat. While the present day story is linear, the flashbacks are not. Flashbacks jump from childhood to 2 months ago to 2 years ago to childhood. But each flashback deserves your undivided attention because everything you see will all be put together in the end. Anna doesn’t play a helpless damsel; she fights back and finds beauty in Wolff’s quirks. This amazing movie can also be a teaching tool and a speaking platform for people with autism.  With the help of mathematicians and autism specialist, this movie was well put together and in a class by itself.  This is a steal at full price.
