Andy and his best friend, Dulce, completed their greatest heist the day before winter break. They stole all the students’ confiscated items before Principal Clark could donate them. Andy and Dulce sell the items to their classmates and head home for the holiday. Andy’s sister, Laurel, slyly tells their parents that Andy was in the principal’s office earlier. However, Andy creates a story about fixing the principal’s WiFi, and they believe him. Laurel leaves the table in disgust but warns Andy to be careful. He will pay for everything he did, but Andy disagrees. He is okay as long as he doesn’t get caught.
Andy wakes up everyone on Christmas morning to unwrap presents. Laurel got a new leotard from Santa, but Andy didn’t receive his new gaming console. He has zero gifts from Santa. He calls Dulce, and she didn’t get the archery set she wanted. They conclude that they are both on the naughty list. They see Lewis, a conspiracy theory enthusiast, for answers. He tells them the Naughty List exists. Lewis created an algorithm to crawl the web and discover who’s on it. The list has over a million names. Andy wonders if Lewis can find Santa’s location. Luckily, he already has. Andy requests the naughty list because he has a plan. Andy plots to fly to the North Pole, break into Santa’s Workshop, and steal the gifts Santa didn’t deliver to them. Andy will need six more Naught Listers to make his Naughty Nine team. This Christmas will be the best one they never had.
Andy is a mix of Danny Ocean and Zack Morris (FTC Affiliate Disclaimer). He creates a master plan with contingencies and uses his charm to escape sticky situations. While he could do good with this gift, Andy chooses to misbehave. These kids’ particular skills – which put them on the list – make them the best for the job. Ha-Yoon can drive anything and isn’t afraid to go fast, and Bethany is a great gymnast. Rose has a special connection to animals but is uncomfortable around people, while Jon Anthony can create any disguise. Albert’s cuteness can lower anyone’s guard, but they will need one adult to fly. Bruno is the man for the job and has an unorthodox history with reindeer. Kids will laugh at this wild heist while learning a lesson in doing good and influencing others. The Naughty Nine is for the whole family. And yes, there will be a part two.
